Paul Hindemith Orchestra Academy – The Academy of the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester

There she is, our new cello academist with the rest of the cello section: Andrea Fernández Ponce is the winner of the audition and will start her 24-month stipend in April. Welcome!

Andrea studies in Düsseldorf with Gregor Horsch, she received her bachelor degree from Angel García Germann in Madrid. She is a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra.

On the 7th of February a new violin fellow was chosen. Katharina Schmitzer emerged out of a field of around sixty competitors.
She currently studies with Prof. Sebastian Schmidt in Hamburg after finishing her bachelor studies with Prof. Reno Kuppel in Nuremberg.

She will start her 24 month stipend in April of 2018.

Am 7. Februar wurde eine neue Stipendiatin für Violine ausgewählt. Aus ca. 60 Bewerbern setzte sich Katharina Schmitzer durch.

Sie studiert aktuell bei Prof. Sebastian Schmidt in Hamburg, ihr Bachelorstudium absolvierte sie in Nürnberg bei Prof. Reto Kuppel.

Ab April 2018 wir sie ihr 24-monatiges Stipendium antreten.

The new members of the PHO have arrived: Rohan Dasika, Jungin Huh and Jinhee Kim joined the Paul Hindemith Orchestra Academy in September.

Auditions for the three new positions in the horn, trombone, and oboe groups will take place in October. The academy will soon be 10 members strong!

Hier sind sie, unsere neuen Stipendiaten: Seit September beginnen Rohan Dasika, Jungin Huh und Jinhee Kim ihre Zeit in der Paul-Hindemith-Orchesterakademie.

Im Laufe des Oktobers finden die Probespiele für die neuen Stipendien Horn, Posaune und Oboe statt. Damit wächst die Akademie auf 10 Plätze!

The Frankfurt Opera’s Society of Patrons has made the funds available for three additional scholarships at the PHO. We would like to thank them sincerely for their generosity and look forward to having ten members total in our ranks!

The new spots are in the oboe, horn, and trombone groups starting in November 2017. Auditions will take place in October.

 

 

Der Frankfurter Patronatsverein für die Städtischen Bühnen e.V. hat bei seiner letzten Sitzung drei neue Stipendien gestiftet. Wir danken an dieser Stelle herzlich!

In Zukunft können somit insgesamt zehn Nachwuchsmusiker ausgebildet werden.

Die neuen Stipendien werden für Oboe, Horn und Posaune vergeben und starten im November 2017. Probespiele finden im Oktober statt.

At the end of April, academist Bogdan Michael Kisch won the tutti cello position at the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester! His success mirrors one important goal of the Paul Hindemith Orchestra Academy: to foster the development of these talented young musicians in such a way as to make them a perfect fit for a permanent job in our orchestra.

Bogdan emerged the winner from a field of an unusually high number of applicants, and will start his trial period in the fall.
